The person requesting disclosures (the employer)
must conform to the Criminal Records Bureau Code of Practice. A full copy is sent
with the applications forms.. The Principal conditions are:
- That disclosure information is kept confidential.
- That disclosure information is stored and disposed of in a secure manner.
- That job applicants are not unfairly discriminated against as a result of any information revealed.
The employer is responsible for checking identity information, as specified in the CRB Code of Practice.
APCS have no responsibility for recruitment decisions made using disclosure information received from the CRB.
APCS process applications and pass on disclosure information promptly, but have no responsibility for the time taken by the CRB
to process applications.
Full payment must be received before application forms and information can be sent to customers.
All correspondence from APCS will be addressed to the employer and will be marked: "Private and Confidential".
